I hope you and your family are doing well during this chaotic time. To help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, I am committed to self-isolating and plan to stay home for the foreseeable future.
I know this has been a confusing, frustrating, and challenging time for our community. Many of us have had to cancel our travel plans, have lost money on non-refundable bookings, or have had to take drastic measures to leave our destinations and rush back home.
It’s hard to have perspective during a time of uncertainty. Things are changing rapidly and we are experiencing shock at the situation unraveling before us.
However, it’s important to remember that while some of us may lose trips or have our travels temporarily postponed, others may lose their jobs or even their loved ones.
I want to remind you of our cancellation and refund policy:
“There is well over a year’s worth of time and planning that goes into making these events successful. There is a nonrefundable deposit at the time of sign up to make sure those signing up are serious about securing their place, this deposit is used immediately to secure our lodging, shuttles, etc. The event venue, hotels, excursions, and classes are planned well in advance and do have specific deadlines and/or policies and therefore are not refundable after a certain point. (Similar to Airbnb) We understand that things come up and something may happen to prevent you from attending. For this reason, we also STRONGLY suggest trip insurance” Unfortunately, trip insurance doesn’t cover pandemic.
For those of you that have trips booked in the next 3 months, I will be refunding all payments OTHER THAN the trip deposit. If your travel is planned for the Fall, please be patient. I am processing all of this as quickly as I can.
Remember, your trip deposit is good for any trip at any time so I hope that as soon as this crisis is over, we can all renew our travel dreams. In the meantime, I thank you for your support and patience.
With Love and Gratitude,
